Okay.. I didn't mean for this to turn out this way. It was supposed to be a commission, but my art brain had some kind of spaz attack halfway through and It just didn't go the way I wanted to at all... I'd worked on it all day, and by 5am, I was so frustrated I was in tears. I threw it up on a shelf for a couple weeks, until just now.
I remembered it looking awful and horrible and not how I wanted... but when I looked at it from a different perspective, it was actually kind of neat. I've not done abstract art before, but I think this is what it became, despite me having other plans.
Art that tells a story about it's creation and it's creator is kind of interesting, I think.
Things don't always go as planned, but I think maybe life is about picking yourself up, scrubbing off the blood, and making the best of it.
So! I would like to sell this.. it's watercolor, copic marker, and prismacolor colored pencils. The original is 8x11 inches.
There's no way I will ever get paid for the actual hours I put into it.. because those are more than I'd like to consider. I know it doesn't look like it.. I must have erased and redrawn the beak/eye area half a dozen times x.x
Going to ask $40 and hope for the best. :}
