Yet another long overdue Japan relief commish for :iconalueus: , this time.
She'd thrown in some extra moolahs for extra detail, as I recall.

Leg and chest/neck/back relied on a fantastic photo from the fantastic Tambako the Jaguar, whose amazing gallery is guaranteed to inspire: [link]

I hate to come across as rude, but..

I feel like you simply link the gallery where you found the photo and not the picture itself because of the heavy referencing or possible tracing you used on the photo. It took me a bit of digging but I found the photo, made it a little bigger, and overlayed your artwork on top of it.

The red arrows point to the areas on the wolf that matched up almost perfectly with the photo.
If I had commissioned this work from you I'd be pretty upset. It's okay to reference, but for a commission, heavy referencing / tracing in that way is unacceptable. I've noticed that you've been caught tracing in the past via artists beware. I'd advise you try to break this habit if you do continue to pursue art.

Oh, you're not rude. Though the "linking to the gallery and not the photo" wasn't intentional, I agree with you that I copy things way, way too closely... and it's part of why I'm not doing art any more. Not sure for how long, but something that used to be fun grew into something that just made me obsess over getting everything perfect... and.. yeah.
Anyway, thank you for the critique. :}
