Beautiful! I love how you made the hummingbird so delicate and the flower so pretty. How do you get the feathers, from stores, or find them, or what?

hehe.. various places

people know I paint on feathers, so when they find them, they bring them to me. this one actually came from a crane (shhhh it's only /slightly/ illegal

) that flew into a bridge and broke it's neck on a friend's farm...
bad for the crane, good for me.
anyway, i saved a whole bunch of it's feathers, and the wing feathers in particular are great for painting on...
the others i used are turkey tail feathers, and those came from my uncle who's a big bird hunter. I got some canada goose feathers the same way!
